I love Fashion and I have a blog. If you add 2+2 you'd say I'be already posting many of my outfits out here. Wrong.

I guess I posted one or two and gave up of it. The fact is I had no one to take me photos and posting dark/bad quality pictures of me in a room isn't really my thing. So I decided I wouldn't post a thing until I was actually able to get decent pictures.

Yesterday I was finally able to convince my sister to take pictures to my outfit. Hopefully, we'll be able to go out for photographing once a week (not bad at all!). So, from now on, expect outfit posts. I have a few outfits I'd like to re-do just for the pictures so I probably won't run out of imagination for a long time.

As my sister and I left home to take pictures, we saw my brother-in-law coming to walk our puppy, Simba. Of course, this silly guy wanted to appear in the pictures. And I let him. Isn't he a cutie?

Eu adoro Moda e tenho um blog. Se juntarem 2+2 vão dizer que eu deveria estar a publicar posts dos meus outfits por aqui. Errado.

Acho que publiquei um ou dois e depois desisti. O facto é que eu não tinha ninguém para me tirar fotos e publicar fotos escuras/com má qualidade não é bem a minha onda. Por isso decidi que não iria publicar nada até ter fotos decentes.

Ontem consegui finalmente convencer a minha irmã a tirar fotos ao meu outfit. Com sorte, vamos conseguir sair para tirar fotos uma vez por semana (nada mau!). Por isso, daqui para a frente, esperem posts de outfits. Tenho alguns outfits que eu gostava de re-fazer só para as fotos por isso provavelmente não vou ficar sem ideias por algum tempo.

Assim que eu e a minha irmã saímos de casa para tirar fotos, vimos o meu cunhado a vir passear o nosso cachorro, o Simba. É claro, este malando quis aparecer nas fotos. E eu deixei. Não é querido?

| 1. Adjustable Antique Copper Mood Ring |

I just had to put this on the beggining of this Etsy Finds.

I saw Jeanne tweeting about this item and the moment I saw it I got in love. I've been looking at it over and over since it was released and I can't help but finding this genious!

I remember I had a mood ring many years ago (but not as gorgeous as this one!) and I just loved to take a peak at its colour and see how it reflected how I felt at the moment.

One of these is coming straight to my finger, I can't wait to get it and wear it (you're so gonna hear about it again!).

Eu vi a Jeanne colocar no Twitter este item e no momento em que o vi apaixonei-me. Estive a olhar para ele uma e outra vez desde que saiu e não posso deixar de o achar genial!

Eu lembro-me de ter um anel mood há muitos anos atrás (mas não tão bonito quanto este!) e eu adorava olhar para a cor dele e ver como reflectia a forma como me sentia no momento.

Um destes vem direitinho para o meu dedo, mal posso esperar por o receber e usar (vão mesmo ouvir falar dele outra vez!).

1. This restyled dress!

I love reading Veronika's blog and watch how she can incredibly put up an outfit together but even more than that, I love how amazing skills she has!

To be honest, if I saw that white dress on a rack I wouldn't even look at it but her new version of it is so appealing! I'm feeling inspired!!

| 2. Birdhouse - cameo ring |

True fact: I love rings. I may be loving it too much these days. Last year I started wearing rings. And buying more rings. I started wearing one ring on each hand. Now I wear at least always two. I'm kinda afraid in the near future you'll see me wearing rings in pretty much all fingers (I hope not! haha)

Anyway, I have this obsession for pretty rings. Like this one. I love you, pretty ring!

Facto verdadeiro: eu adoro anéis. Acho que até devo gostar demasiado de momento. No ano passado comecei a usar anéis. E a comprar mais anéis. Comecei por usar um anel em cada mão. Agora uso sempre pelo menos dois. Acho que tenho medo de num futuro próximo começar a usar anéis em basicamente todos os dedos (espero bem que não! haha)

De qualquer forma, tenho esta obsessão por anéis bonitos. Tipo este. Adoro-te, anel bonito!

| 3. Owl Brooch |

Another thing I'm starting to get obsessed with is... owls. (I actually have a ring with an owl, what a coincidence!)

I think owls look pretty everywhere. Owls link to fashion. And I can't help but find anything with owls the cutest thing on Earth. That's the way it is. And this brooch has an owl. And, besides that, it's incredibly detailed (you can't stop staring at it!).

I'm applauding the person who created this!

Outra coisa pela qual estou a ficar obcecada é... mochos. (Na verdade, eu tenho um anel com um mocho, que coincidência!).

Acho que mochos ficam bem em qualquer lado. Mochos ligam com moda. E não posso deixar de achar o que quer que seja com mochos a coisa mais gira à face da Terra. É como é. E esta pregadeira tem um mocho. E, para além disso, é incrivelmente detalhada (não dá para parar de olhar!).

For those who follow my features of "Etsy Finds", I bet you heard me saying a billion times how much I love cute illustrations (I'm an artist, I just can't help it!).

Anyway, here is another amazing one I found. A fox driving a bike back home. I wish it was my home. 'Cause I can perfectly picture this beauty on my desk.

Para aqueles que seguem as minhas features do "Etsy Finds", aposto que já me ouviram dizer um bilião de vezes o quão eu adoro ilustrações (sou uma artista, não consigo deixar de o fazer!).

De qualquer forma, aqui está outra fantástica que encontrei. Uma raposa a ir de bicicleta para casa. Gostava que fosse a minha casa. Porque consigo imaginar perfeitamente esta beleza na minah secretária.

DIY: watercolour postcard

Wanna learn how to create a simple and easy card to send to your friends?

Queres aprender como fazer um postal simples e fácil para enviar aos teus amigos?

You'll need:

- a blank piece of paper (or you may pick coloured paper)

- a color blender (I've used this one)

- Inktense blocks from Derwent

- a brush

Vais precisar de:

- uma folha de papel em branco (ou podes usar papel colorido)

- um misturador de cor (eu usei este)

- blocos Inktense da Derwent

- um pincel

Here's how:

Aqui fica como:

1) Sketch your design in a separate piece of paper. Once you're happy with it, put that piece of paper underneath the one you'll be using to create the card and trace the design with the color blender pressing hard.

1) Esboça o teu design numa folha de paper à parte. Assim que estiveres contente, põe essa folha por baixo daquela que vais usar para criar o postal e traça o design com o misturador de cor pressionando com força.

2/3) Using Inktense blocks, fill your card with color as you wish. As you may see, the design you have traced appears over the colour. This happens because the color blender creates a "negative space" (the wax in the blender repels the colour).

2/3) Usando os blocos Inktense, preenche o teu postal com cor conforme desejares. Como podes ver, o design que traçaste aparece por cima da cor. Isto acontece porque o misturador de cor cria um "espaço negativo" (a cera do misturador repele a cor).

4) With a brush, add water to the color (make sure your brush is wet and not soaking). You don't need to be very precise as long as you make sure the whole design gets wet (this will add a sketchy look to your card).

4) Com um pincel, adiciona água à cor (deixa o teu pincel molhado mas não a pingar). Não é necessário ser muito preciso desde que todo o design fique molhado (isto irá adicionar um ar esboçado ao teu postal).

5) Leave your card aside to try.

5) Deixa o teu postal de lado para secar.

6) Once your card is almost dry, pick a q-tip and wet it. Go over your design with the q-tip to take off the remaining bits of colour. This will make your design look brighter.

6) Assim que o teu postal estiver quase seco, pega num cotonete e molha-o. Passa-o pelo teu design para tirar os restos de cor. Isto irá fazer o teu design parecer mais claro.

You're done! Have fun and use your card to write a letter to someone special! ;)

Sketchbook inspiration - Irina Vinnik

If you're an artist, I bet this thought already came to your mind as well: «why the hell don't I have a sketchbook?»

Personally, I think I have so little free time to draw I prefer to go straight to the final piece. However, I do like the idea of having a little journal to draw.

Russian artist Irina Vinnik creates incredible artwork in sketchbooks... no doodles or unfinished pieces, just amazing pieces!
